Rose Bowl Sports Properties Adds Digital Seat Tags for Fan Engagement

UCLA fans can access the new digital portal via QR codes this fall.

Dallas, Texas – August 20, 2021 – UCLA Rose Bowl Sports Properties has added new sports technology to the famed Rose Bowl Stadium for enhanced fan engagement. Over 90,000 Digital Seat tags were installed by Texas-based tech company Digital Seat Media last week. UCLA fans will be able to scan the QR code on the Digital Seat tags installed on each seat to instantly enter the Bruins’ new Digital Seat fan portal without having to download an app or rely upon wi-fi connectivity.

“We are continually searching for new ways to enhance the overall fan experience at America’s Stadium and Digital Seat Tags does just that by providing engaging content and information instantly,” said Jens Weiden, Chief Revenue Officer of the Rose Bowl Operating Company. “Being the first stadium in California to implement this technology is exciting and we look forward to having it in place for the start of the UCLA Bruins football season, this Fall.”

The Digital Seat portal features include downloadable coupons and offers, team Instagram filters, player stats, rosters, schedules, and more. The Digital Seat Media technology has been installed at over twenty venues around the country. The Rose Bowl Stadium is the first stadium in California to implement this technology.

Digital Seat Media CEO Cameron Fowler is available for interviews regarding this news. Contact Katherine Watson (katierosewatson@gmail.com) to coordinate a feature.

About Digital Seat Media

The Digital Seat Media platform connects fans to brands inside of a venue on their mobile device, in low bandwidth environments without the need to download an app or wi-fi. The Digital Seat platform works on all major smartphones, regardless of brand, or wireless carrier. The platform works by simply placing a small, non-intrusive tag on venue seats, armrests, or bleachers, enabling fans to engage with offers, content, and activities in real time on their mobile device. In addition to the in-stadium tags, Digital Seat offers a digital version of their tags designed for on-air broadcast and OTT programming. The custom analytics dashboard provides real-time ROI performance metrics allowing brands and content providers to see number of tags scanned, the modules scanned, as well as offers downloaded to their digital wallet and redeemed.  For more information or to get Digital Seat Media installed at your venue, visit digitalseat.com.
