Checkered Past Winery to host Truth & Daring: #MeToo Event
The urban wine bar wants to give local women a platform to tell their stories.

Dallas, Texas – January 29, 2018 – Checkered Past Winery will host Truth & Daring’s Me, Too Event on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Truth & Daring, an open mic storytelling show for true-life stories, hopes to keep the #MeToo and #IHearYou movements prevalent in the Dallas community with the upcoming show. Checkered Past Winery and Truth & Daring, are inviting storytellers (men and women alike) to share their true-life experiences about sexual harassment, abuse or misconduct.

Truth & Daring Creative Director, Tami Stowe, says, “In some form or fashion, we have been a victim, witness or even a voice that stood up for those who could not be heard. These stories matter and nothing is more powerful than sharing your truth. We look forward to seeing new and familiar faces at February’s Truth & Daring Me, Too special event.” Those interested in telling their stories or supporting the brave storytellers can get more information at Checkered Past Winery or Truth & Daring’s Facebook page.

This show is dedicated to Truth & Daring’s beloved Co-Founder, Linda Marsden Thomas. All donations made at this free event will be forwarded in her memory to the Prison Entrepreneurship Program (PEP). Sign up starts at 7:00 p.m. and stories begin at 7:30 p.m.
