Peter Pan Rockwall Summer Musicals

ROCKWALL, Texas – July 20, 2017 – As part of its 2017 season, Rockwall Summer Musicals will present Peter Pan August 11-20, 2017 at the Rockwall Performing Arts Center (1201 T L Townsend Drive, Rockwall, TX 75087). Tickets cost between $18-$22 and can be purchased at the Box Office or online at rockwallsummermusicals.org. Peter Pan features a live orchestra under the direction of Chris Widomski and extraordinary costumes custom made by Maureen Cruz for Rockwall Summer Musicals.

Peter Pan and his mischievous fairy sidekick Tinkerbell visit the nursery of the Darling children late one night and, with a sprinkle of pixie dust, begin a magical journey across the stars that none of them will ever forget. In the adventure of a lifetime, the travelers come face to face with a ticking crocodile, a fierce Indian tribe, the Lost Boys, a band of bungling pirates and, of course, the villainous Captain Hook. This high-flying musical is perfect for the child in all of us. Songs include Neverland, I’m Flying, Wendy, Never Grow Up, Pirate’s March and more.

Rockwall Summer Musicals to Host Show-Themed Summer Camps for Young Musical Theatre Performers Ages 5-18
Camp dates are June 26-30 for Fiddler on the Roof and August 14-18 for Peter Pan.

ROCKWALL, Texas – June 7, 2017 – Rockwall Summer Musicals (RSM) is pleased to announce two summer camps: Fiddler on the Roof Summer Youth Workshop and Peter Pan Summer Youth Workshop. Each weeklong camp will include classes on acting, dancing, and singing taught by RSM talents Kathy French, Cody Dry, Janelle Lutz, Keeli James, and Whitney Rosenbalm at the Rockwall Performing Arts Center (1201 T L Townsend Drive, Rockwall, TX 75087). The two summer camps coincide with the upcoming 2017 Rockwall Summer Musicals season.

Classes for children ages 5 to 7 will be held daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; classes for students ages 8 to 18 will be held daily from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The cost of camp registration is $250, which includes the weeklong camp, a t-shirt, and a ticket to see a Rockwall Summer Musicals show this season.  Rockwall Summer Musicals Fiddler on the Roof

ROCKWALL, Texas – May 30, 2017 – As part of its 2017 season, Rockwall Summer Musicals will present Fiddler on the Roof June 23 – July 2, 2017 at the Rockwall Performing Arts Center (1201 T L Townsend Drive, Rockwall, TX 75087). Tickets cost between $18-$22 and can be purchased at the Box Office or online at rockwallsummermusicals.org. This is the first show of the 2017 season, to be followed by Peter Pan August 11-20, 2017. For the second consecutive year, Rockwall Summer Musicals will run its summer shows for two weekends instead of one.

Set in the little village of Anatevka, Tevye tries to teach his daughters cultural traditions in the face of growing anti-Semitism in Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof has touched audiences with its humor, warmth, and honesty since debuting on Broadway in 1964. Fan-favorite songs include: “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Where a Rich Man,” “Matchmaker,” and “Tradition.” Alidor Lafere stars at Tevye in the Rockwall Summer Musicals production directed by Paula Morelan.
